The North River leadership team initiated the Dynamic Marriage ministry in the Fall of 2006.  The basic tool of the ministry is the highly successful Dynamic Marriage course developed by Family Dynamics Institute.  The goals of this ministry are: 1) to enrich good marriages, 2) to revitalize unfulfilling or troubled marriages, 3) to prepare engaged couples for marriage, and 4) to serve as an outreach tool to the community.

Dynamic Marriage is an eight week interactive course led by professionally trained Facilitators that was developed by the nationally recognized experts at Family Dynamics Institute [www.familydynamics.net].  Each Dynamic Marriage class is limited to 12 couples.  All class participants must be committed to attend all class sessions and participate in all class activities. The class participants gain the tools to transform every aspect of their marriage so they can sustain a happy and fulfilling relationship that grows stronger every day.  Dynamic Marriage is designed to help couples:

            - Discover deeper levels of emotional and spiritual intimacy

            - Build trust and openness

            - Learn why marriages fail and how to ensure success

- Learn effective and practical ways to meet their spouse’s most important emotional needs

            - Recapture the passion and excitement of falling in love again

            - Open the paths of communication

            - Give their children the gift of a happy marriage

            - Lay the foundation for a healthy relationship

The unique and safe environment encourages couples to transform their marriages and change their lives.  Family Dynamics guarantees that upon completing all aspects of the course, couples will achieve an intimacy and oneness that fills their lives with love and joy.

Since the ministry started in the Fall of 2006, there have been 6 Dynamic Marriage class sessions benefitting over 60 couples. There are currently 4 professionally trained couples at North River that facilitate Dynamic Marriage classes.

Our prayer is that God will continue to use this ministry in a great way to strengthen marriages within our congregation as well as to reach out to our community.
